President’s Review

The 2009 fiscal year was both good and bad for Japanese car exporter industry. The investment climate within our industry has been extremely strong for the past three years, until the end of last year. In a year in which the world confronted extraordinary economic challenges, Trendy Information Co., Ltd. performed with great resolve, supported by proven strategies and strong execution across our business. The growth in net sales was achieved by extensive marketing strategy and progressive sales approach. Our market share in several markets also increased in the second half of the year.

At the start of 2010, when other competitors are facing a massive slowdown in number of order, we continued to receive a healthy number of orders in the first quarter of the year. The geographic distribution of net sales was as follows: Singapore 5%, Hongkong 37%, Malaysia 32%, New Zealand 17%, Taiwan 3%, Mongolia 3%, Indonesia 2%, and South America 1%.

Actions to improve profitability

Our relative profitability did not develop fully according to our projection in 2009. The growth in net sales was based primarily on newly acquired market share in 2009 and whose profitability is not yet at the optimal level. In 2010 we will fine-tuned the speed of the whole customer supply chain process from order to purchase as well as delivery time. Ensuring constant supply of marketable unit at ultra competitive price will also be a huge challenge for us in the upcoming year.

We established new Auto dealer outside Japan in 2009. The purpose of our Chinese expansion is primarily to serve our growth and sell products in China. They will also play a key role in improving our profitability. Our financial position enables us to maximize tremendous opportunities for our business.

In order to improve profitability we are also starting to employ Information Technology to automate and speed-up our internal purchasing system and put to practice advanced management method. We have also made changes to our business models to cope with the latest business environment.

Looking Ahead to 2010 and Beyond… Trendy Information Co., Ltd. will continue to be strong

The world’s economic outlook at the moment is extremely uncertain. The biggest challenges will be related to maintaining profitability, as there are great uncertainties concerning the future of our industry.

You can rest assured that we have no intention of sitting back and simply trying to ride out the current economic storm. Rather, our entire Trendy Information Co., Ltd. management is focused on what critically matters to our business: our strategy of growth and improving profitability. We have a solid belief and ambition that we will continue to be a strong player even in this uncertain economic situation. Our competitive service portfolio and knowledgeable sales executives will also retain our position in the future.

Through our marketing efforts, we will enhance our relationships with our retail customers while developing strategies for better execution at the point of sale. When the market situation begins to improve, Trendy Information Co., Ltd. will be in a stronger position.

In these years of growth, the desire and ability of our staff to stretch has been essential. We have also developed our operations, and introduced a new enterprise sales monitoring system, both of which are essential for our future success. Over the years we have expanded our network of partners while developing our own business models, and partners are an increasingly important part of Trendy Information’s business. We have retained the trust of our customers in our services and in our expertise in 2009.
